National Direct Support Week!
The US Senate has designated September 12th through 18th as “National Direct Support Professional Week”. This week recognizes Direct Support Professionals (DSP’s) for their commitment to supporting individuals and promoting community-inclusion for individuals with disabilities of all ages.

Senator Nelson stated, “Direct Support professionals provide an invaluable service to the millions of Americans living with disabilities. I’m proud to honor these hard working individuals who give so much to help those in need. Their dedication to service is an example to us all.”

The US Senate recognizes the tremendous impact direct support staff has on the communities in the US. There are thousands of DSP’s around the nation.
